Bare metal, colocation and IP transit

Bare metal servers, colocation and IP transit are not on the dashboard's order pages or in the API. You buy them from the sales team, who write a proposal for what you need. The products you can order yourself, such as Cloud Compute and Container Apps, are in Order a service.

Bare metal

A physical server that only you use. The Dedicated Servers page describes the hardware on offer.

Colocation

Space, power and cooling in a data centre for hardware you own. The colocation page describes what the facilities provide, and Data centres and locations lists the facility pages.

IP transit

Internet connectivity for your own network, over a BGP session with Coritan, so you can announce your own address space. The IP Transit page describes the ports and sessions.

Write to the sales team at sales@coritan.com, or call +1 (302) 606-0504. Say which product you want, where, how much capacity and from when, with anything else your setup needs. The sales team replies with a proposal and its price.

Each service you buy this way has its own service agreement with the Coritan company that provides it, and that agreement sets any service level agreement (SLA) (Legal terms and policies).

The IP Transit page works out an Order Estimate from a Data Center Location, a Committed Bandwidth (95th Percentile), a Port Capacity and any Security Add-ons. The estimate stays on that page, so copy its lines into your email. The price in the proposal is the one that applies.

The Cloud Compute vs Managed Containers page compares the two products you order in the dashboard, with a short quiz that recommends one. Compare Plans on the Dedicated Servers page opens it too, although it does not cover bare metal.

• Choose Cloud Compute for a virtual machine with its own operating system and full root access (Cloud Compute).
• Choose Container Apps when you want us to install and run the software, such as a game server, and manage it from the dashboard (Container Apps).

Some rows of the page's table differ from the products as the dashboard sells them. An instance is billed by the hour or by its billing cycle (How hourly billing works), and it keeps the size you ordered (Get a different size). A server can hold one floating IP (Floating IPs).

• You cannot order bare metal, colocation or IP transit in the dashboard or through the API.
